Heat transfer rolls from Webex offer precise temperature control to
within plus or minus one degree Fahrenheit across the face of the roll. A
proprietary, computerized heat-transfer-analysis program is used to analyze each
customer's process parameters and to design a roll with precise and predictable
heat transfer performance.
Each custom roll features a double-wall, spiral-wrap design that helps the fluid
flow over the entire inside surface of the roll. A precisely calculated space
between the inner and outer roll allows fluid cross over - evening out temperature
differentials between the spiral channels. Webex routinely machines the inside of
the outer shell, an extra step in the manufacturing process that helps with smooth
fluid flow and consistent heat exchange rates. Straight-pitch and gain pitch
heat transfer roll designs are available for optimal performance.
